Did you know that indecision blocks your opportunities?
The main message I want to share with you today is to START NOW, with what you have in your hands, because you will never be ready.
You want change? Start doing something about it.
You have a business idea, a new project? just start!
Step by step, day by day a lot can be accomplish.
I know that all of that sounds easy, but I realized that we have two big problems that I will call them “the enemies to start”:
The First one is FEAR (and I’m not talking about FOMO)
The fear of not knowing where to start.
The fear of thinking that you have to be an expert. We forget we are in the process of learning and growing.
We start doubting ourselves and our talent.
Will anyone like my idea?
Will anyone buy my stuff?
What will people think if I do this or that?
Does this sound like you? It sure sounds like me!
Let me tell you something, haters gonna hate, but you my friend you just need to shake out of it!
My advice is to Do something every day even if it that scares you. There is no room for fear if you want to go further.
Our Second enemy I´ll have to say that are EXCUSES
Oh we are so good at making excuses to not start, oh I don’t have enough Money, I don’t have enough time, Im lacking other resources blah blah blah!, excuses, excuses, excuses!
Don’t worry, I get you, it happens to all of us, but we need to change our mindset and realized that the only thing we need to do is to start!
I heard this quote not so long ago that got me thinking a lot:
Progress over perfection.
This means that Every day I have to do something to get closer to my goals, and as long as I keep going forward perfection will come along, because is a learning process.
You’ll never know whether you can make if you don’t try. So the next time people ask you, what do you do? Say: Whatever it takes!
4 Hacks to help you overcome those enemies that are blocking you.
Set realistic goals: ignore your inner perfectionist. There is no time for that. Remember: Progress over perfection.
Set a deadline: Studies show that people who set deadlines for themselves or, better yet have somebody else impose a deadline are far more likely to meet their goal. For example I have weekly deadline with the things I need to accomplish every week. I work on them every Sunday, on Wednesday I review my progress, if I‘m behind I try to push it. Then on Friday I check how much I’ve accomplished. And it goes like that every week.
Be accountable to someone: That someone could be a friend, a business partner, family member, in my case me and my boyfriend help each other with our weekly deadline, with reminders and a lot encouragement. 🙂
Let Others Influence You: this one is the best advice I can give you, because I follow so many amazing influencers online and I really get inspired by their work ethic and lifestyle. You only need to choose wisely. 😉
Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I really hope all of this make sense to you, because I’m sure it will help you to start.
Don’t forget to keep it simple and make it beautiful please share this to someone that you might think needs to START!
